Listening:

How do you usually get to work?
I drive most days, and some days I take the bus.
How do you usually go to get to work?
I usually take the freeways, but some days I take the streets.
I'm trying to find the most efficient route.
I'm fed up with the traffic on my horrendous commute.
Well I rotate between the bus and the subway, depending on the day and time.
Usually I prefer the subway, but if traffic's light I take the bus.
Like on holidays traffic's always really light.
It's nice on the bus because you can look out the window.
You're not stuck underground for hours.
So do you have some kind of bus pass, or how does that work?
I've got a monthly pass that really cuts down on costs.
You can pick one up at virtually any transit station.
If you plan on taking the bus a lot, it's really a good investment.
Depending on how frequently you ride, weekly or monthly passes may be cheaper.
The only thing is, you can't enjoy the creature comforts of driving in your car.
The bus and subway can be really cold, and pretty smelly and dirty.
And sometimes it's really hard to get a seat.
I find the busses are kept cleaner than the subway.
That's one reason I prefer taking the bus when traffic's light.
You've gotta watch out, because there are some interesting characters on the bus.
Of course pickpockets are rampant in the subway station.
Keep an eye on your wallet at all times.
And on the bus people will probably try to chat you up.
It helps if you listen to music.
People don't bother you as much when you have headphones on.
